Finding the right trainer for you and your dog is key to success. What is their ethos – do they practice positive reward-based training? Have they attained the essential professional qualifications? Do they have a proven track record? At SuperHounds, we can confidently answer “yes” to all of the above; as Diane’s extensive professional experience will attest.

We are vet recommended, professional, reputable and highly qualified. We work to strict ethical standards and adhere to a code of practice both with the APDT and IMDT so you can be confident that you and your dog are in capable hands.

About Diane

Finding the right support for your dog can feel overwhelming.

You’ve probably already read conflicting advice online, watched endless videos, spoken to friends, and tried approaches that seemed promising but didn’t actually change how life feels day to day. Maybe your puppy is biting and bouncing off the walls. Maybe your adolescent dog suddenly feels impossible to walk. Maybe your once easy-going dog is now reactive, anxious, over-aroused, or difficult to settle.

For many owners, the hardest part is not simply the behaviour itself. It is the frustration, confusion, and self-doubt that comes with feeling like you are getting it wrong, or worrying that life with your dog is becoming stressful instead of enjoyable.

At Superhounds, the goal is not simply to “train” dogs. It is to help owners understand them properly, build genuine clarity and communication, and create calmer, more functional lives together.

Over the last 18 years, I have worked professionally with hundreds of dogs across South West London and Surrey, from brand new puppies through to complex behavioural cases.

This has reinforced something I feel strongly about: good dog training should make life feel clearer and more achievable for both ends of the lead.

My own approach has evolved significantly over the years. Like many professionals, experience teaches you that dog training is rarely about isolated techniques or quick fixes. The more dogs I worked with, the more I became interested in the bigger picture: emotional regulation, fulfilment, environmental factors, stress, breed-specific needs, relationship dynamics, and how dogs actually learn and process the world around them.

That perspective now shapes everything I do at Superhounds.

I believe in kind, fair, reward-based training that creates confident dogs.

When you work with me, the focus is always on building sustainable change. Sessions are designed to give you clarity and confidence, not leave you reliant on constant instruction. Whether we are working on puppy foundations, recall, lead walking, reactivity, over-arousal, confidence building, or life skills, the process is collaborative, practical, and tailored to both you and your dog as individuals.

Clients often tell me that one of the biggest differences is that they finally feel understood themselves. There is no judgement here, and no expectation that you should already know how to navigate every challenge. My role is to guide you through it clearly, professionally, and realistically.

Superhounds is built on professional standards, ethical training, and ongoing education. I am accredited through the APDT and IMDT and adhere to strict codes of practice and welfare standards. I hold additional instructor qualifications in agility, mantrailing, scentwork, and canine fitness disciplines. Alongside client work, I have been hand selected as the UK Ambassador for KONG, the dog trainer and behaviour consultant for Different Dog Food, authored the bestselling book Beyond The Bowl and presented at events and conferences around the UK.

Outside of work, dogs remain a huge part of my everyday life. I share my home with my older Whippet cross, Louie, and Billy, my young working dog, all of whom continue to shape and challenge my understanding of dogs in different ways every single day.

If you are looking for professional support that focuses on real-life results, I’d love to help you and your dog move forward together.
